ACTIVITY
As your little one begins to be more interactive and responsive to sounds and color youll want to introduce them to a safe space that will entertain them.
TYPES TO CONSIDER:
1. Stationary Activity Centers: Stationary activity centers, which feature a sturdy round base with an elevated seat for the baby allow babies to remain upright to practice standing and play with available toys while taking in the action around them. Play saucers do not allow babies to move around a room, though. Activity centers typically have a selection of on board toys that are easily accessible to the little one. Use only for a child who is able to hold head up unassisted and who is not able to climb out or walk. Example: Jumperoo
2. Playmat/Activity Gyms: Activity gyms and mats are the ultimate environment for baby-activated development, discovery & delight. A self-contained activity gym designed to further baby's physical, sensory and emotional development. These mats typically feature a soft playmate for baby to lay on their back and above them will be arches featuring toys. These mats are typically used for infants 0-10 months of age. Example: Kensington playmat
3. Swings: A baby swing offers a soothing and entertaining place for when parents need to put the baby down. Swings typically feature multiple types of swing speeds, mobiles and sounds. A swing can be used from birth until a child becomes active and can climb out of the seat. Example: My little lamb cradle & swing
